Centered around the plaça del Carme, the neighborhood of Les Corts was incorporated into the city in 1867. Today it is a largely residential area.

Its principal highlight is Camp Nou, the soccer stadium of the Barcelona Soccer Club - Fútbol Club Barcelona. The stadium is one of the biggest in Europe, holding up to 109.000 spectators.

The FCB, Mes que un Club (more than a club), has been one of Spain's leading clubs for decades.
