Hotel Catalonia Portal de l´Angel is a restored Palace, built in 1876 by famous architect Pedro Bassegoda i Mateu. This palace still retains most of the original features, and provides all modern facilities for the guests.

Hotel Catalonia Portal de l´Angel is situated in the historic quarter of Barcelona, beside the Medieval Cathedral, one of the fines examples of Catalan Gothic Architecture. The Hotel is also close to Plaça Catalunya. It is the perfect location to see the best of Barcelona's attractions.

Some of the best Shopping Malls are located near Plaça Catalunya, including, The Boqueria Market (Mercado de la Boqueria), the biggest food market.

El Prat Barcelona International Airport is located 8 miles southwest of El Prat de Llobregat city. The Airport has 3 terminals. You can take a taxi, bus or train to the city centre.
